A couple of weeks ago I was asked by awesome chef Sophie Wright to shoot her latest recipes for French Goat's cheese. The idea was to showcase two different types of Goat's cheese with easy and interesting ways you can use them in your cooking. I was thrilled to be asked and like a true glutton, even more, thrilled about the fact I'd get to eat Sophie's creations after we shot them!
We shot it all in my kitchen and Sophie, the multipurpose talent, both created the recipes and styled the shoot while I snapped away. She created an avocado, pesto, basil and grilled goat's cheese open sandwich and a shrimp, roasted pepper and goat's cheese pizza. So, so, so good!
It made a change for me to be the one behind the camera snapping away as someone else cooked. Watching someone of Sophie's calibre in the kitchen really is inspiring. Sophie just makes it all look so easy and effortless. I'd turn around from setting up a shot and she'd already be half way through creating the next dish! Ninja.
I can't wait to show you the final snaps but until then you'll have to make do with these lil behind the scenes ones. You can check out Sophie's recipes, cookbooks and more on her website here. Any mums-to-be out there should buy her new book Blooming Delicious (out on 7th April) which Sophie wrote when she was recently pregnant with her son Bertie. The cookbook is brimming with nutritious recipes designed especially for pregnant women.
